We all know mistakes happen, and sometimes a document needs a few tweaks after it’s been added to Humi.
Whether you need to update details, correct an error, or give it a new title, we’ve got you covered.
You Can't Edit Company Documents
Since all documents added to the Company Documents drive are view-only and uploaded as PDF files, they can’t be edited directly.
If you find an error in a company document, correct the original file, then re-upload the updated version to Humi.
Remember, if the document was previously assigned to employees, you’ll need to reassign the updated document to them. Once the corrected version is uploaded, delete the old one to avoid confusion.
How to Edit Signing or Offer Letter Document Templates
These templates were created in the Template Editor, so any annotation fields you've added won’t appear in the Doc Preview tab.
To view or edit these documents, please use the Template Editor directly.
- In Documents, find the document you need, click on it and Humi will direct you to the Document Page.
- On the Document Page, select the Template Editor button in the top right corner of the page.
- Now that you're in the template editor, you can see all of the annotation fields on the document and confirm if they're correct or make any necessary changes.
- After editing, click the Continue button to save all your changes.
Check our step-by-step Template Editor Guide for more tips.
Previously Assigned Documents Won't Change
Edits will only apply to documents assigned in the future; documents assigned before your changes will remain as they were.
To ensure employees see the updated version, reassign the newly modified document to anyone who received the previous version.
And that’s how you can edit your document template using the Template Editor.
These steps will help you customize or edit your exisiting templates, ensuring that future documents reflect your changes. Just remember to reassign corrected documents as needed!
