If you’ve created your Task Template" and later realized there’s an error, no need to worry—you can easily edit or delete it from two locations: the Task Templates page or the All Tasks page.
Important note
Any edits to an existing Task Template will only apply to newly assigned tasks. Tasks that have already been assigned will not reflect these changes.
Edit or Delete from the Task Templates Page
Quick steps
Go to People > Tasks tab > Task Templates, find the Task Template, click the three dots, and choose Edit or Delete.
- In People, click the Tasks tab and select Task Templates from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll through the list or use the search bar to locate the Task Template you want to update.
- Click the three dots on the right side of the Task Template and select either Edit or Delete.
Existing Templates Won't Be Affected
Deleting a Task Template will not impact tasks that have already been assigned.
Edit or Delete from the All Tasks Page
Quick steps
Go to People > Tasks tab > All Tasks, find the task, click the three dots, select View Template, then choose Edit or Delete

- In People, click the Tasks tab and select All Tasks from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the task you want to adjust.
- Click the three dots to the right of the task and select View Template from the dropdown menu.
Don't see the View Template option?
- If the View Template option does not appear in the dropdown, the task was not created using a Task Template.On the Task Template page, click the three dots in the upper right corner and choose Edit or Delete as needed.
- Selecting Edit from the initial dropdown (without choosing View Template) will only modify the task assigned to that specific employee—it will not update the Task Template. - From here, click the three dots on the right-hand corner and select Edit or Delete as needed.
