Decide if the task applies to All Employees or Specific Employees. If you choose Specific Employees, you can filter by department, office, employee status, or job title. |
To Be Completed By: |
Choose who will complete the task: the employee, the employee's manager, or a specific person. You can assign up to five employees to a task, creating "shared tasks." This works well when multiple people can access the system and complete the task. |

|
Task Types:
Use this type for tasks that need to be completed before a new employee’s first day. The start date will determine the due dates. Examples include:
- Assigning a laptop and adding it to the Asset Tracker
- Setting up IT access
- Preparing a key card
- Reading the employee handbook
Use this type for tasks that must be completed before an employee's last working day. The due dates will align with their final day.
Examples include:
- Collecting all company items (e.g., mouse, keyboard, chair, computer) and recording the return date in the Asset tracker
- Removing employee access through IT
- Collecting the employee's access card
Due dates are optional and set by the person creating the task.
Examples include:
- Planning and scheduling a team-building lunch
- Uploading expense receipts for the team-building lunch
- Renewing a CPR license
Now that you know how to create the task template, the next step is assigning it to the employee(s).
