Important differences between how carriers process the new enrollment
The employee’s experience will differ based on your insurance carrier. Choose your carrier from the dropdowns below to learn how they process new enrollments:
Humi is only notified of a new hire’s enrollment request once they complete their Onboarding. Please ensure you are following up with any new hires who have yet to complete their Humi Onboarding, as it may result in them becoming late applicants under the group insurance plan.
Once they complete their Onboarding, Humi now has all of the required information to trigger an enrollment email from your insurance carrier. Humi will be responsible for reminding employees to complete their enrollment within the enrollment period. If an employee still has not completed their enrollment within 31 days of their effective date, they will be classified as a late applicant.
When the new hire receives their email to complete their Onboarding onto Humi HR, the carrier enrollment form will be included in Step 3: Documents of the process. They will not be able to click Next unless their group benefits enrollment form is completed.
Once they complete their Humi Onboarding, Humi will receive a copy of their benefits enrollment form and enroll the new hire on the insurance carrier portal for you.
