Benefits Plus - How to Approve Change Requests as an Admin

With Benefits Plus, admins can easily approve or deny requested changes to employees’ benefits plan coverage details, right in Humi! Any approved changes will be processed on the Carrier portal by the Humi benefits team, so you can get back to doing the stuff you like best.

Same-day processing

Changes that are approved by an admin before 3:00 PM EST Monday to Thursday and before 11:00 AM EST on Fridays will be processed the same day unless additional information is needed from the employee.


How to approve or deny a benefits change request

  1. To get started, log in to Humi and have a look at your Inbox Notifications on the Home page
  2. If a request was submitted recently, you’ll see a notification at the top of your Inbox that states: “A Benefit Change Request has been submitted”
  3. Click on the notification to open up the request
  4. Confirm the details of the change and then scroll to the bottom of the page, where you’ll see a spot to enter a note for the employee
  5. Click Approve or Deny to complete the request
    • If you select Approve, the request will be sent to the Humi Benefits Team who will process the change on the Carrier portal for you. The employee will also receive a notification with your note to inform them that their request was approved.
    • If you select Deny, the request will be nullified, and the employee will receive a notification with your note to inform them that their request was denied.
  6. That’s it! We told you it was easy.

Humi Tip

If you have multiple requests, you can easily see the status of each one by looking at the Status column in the Change Requests table.
