Manage email notifications for new applicants

According to studies, most applications are submitted within the first seven days of posting a new job. We recognize how critical it is to move fast and get applicants through your job funnel as quickly as possible in today's competitive job market.

To help you handle your applicants more efficiently, members of the hiring team will receive "new applicant" email notifications at different intervals:

  • 24 hours after the job post is created
  • Day 3
  • Day 5
  • Day 7
  • Then once a week indefinitely until the job posting is closed.

For example, if someone applies on the 10th day after the job posting is published, they'll be included in the weekly "new applicants" notification email sent on Day 14. If someone applies 17 days after the job posting is published, they'll be included in the weekly notification email sent on Day 21 and so on.

Note that you don't have to wait for this email to see your new applicants because you can go to Recruiting > Job post > Applicants at any time.

If you're on the hiring team but don't want to receive these notifications, this post will explain how to manage them from:

Manage notifications from the email

In the notification email, if you click the "update your notification preferences" link, you'll be directed to the job posting's "Information" tab.

Please note that when you edit your notifications preference here, it will only affect your notifications. The other members of the hiring team will still receive email notifications unless they turn them off as well.
