In Company, under the Overview tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you'll find a section for your Company Banking Information.
If you're using Humi for payroll, you'll need to fill in your company bank account information before your first run of payroll, including your:
- Institution Number
- Transit Number
- Account Number
When you add your company bank account, Humi securely authenticates it through Flinks which is a SOC 2-compliant Canadian company owned by National Bank. This one-time authentication ensures a safe and efficient setup.
- To begin, please click the Verify your bank account button.
- A window will appear, connecting you to Flinks. You’re welcome to review the information tabs, then select Agree and Continue to proceed.
- Choose your company’s bank account from the provided list. If it’s not immediately visible, use the search bar to locate it—there are over 100 banks available for selection.
- Next, log in to your bank account by entering your username and password, then click Continue.
- After logging in, you’ll see a list of available accounts. Select the account from which you’d like payroll deducted and click Continue.
That’s it! Your bank account is now verified and successfully connected to Humi. You’re ready to go!
Having issues? Upload documents instead.
There are two types of documents you can upload:
- Bank statements
- Void cheque or Direct deposit form
Upload bank statements:
If your bank isn't displayed in the dropdown, or you're having issues getting authenticated, you can still get verified by uploading 3 to 5 recent bank statements directly to the platform.
- If your bank doesn’t show up in the search results, you’ll see an Upload statements button — click it!
- Upload 3 to 12 months of your recent bank statements ensuring that your files are in PDF, JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format and clearly show:
- Account holder name
- Bank name
- Transaction history
- Account number
You’ll get notified automatically when the result is ready and if everything is good you can continue as normal. If there are any issues you’ll be notified and our support team will be able to help.
Upload a void cheque or direct deposit form
You can now upload a void cheque or direct deposit form to set up payments quickly and securely.
To ensure smooth processing, your document must:
- Be in English
- Include your name, institution number, transit number, and account number
Most uploads are processed within 5–8 minutes, though it may take longer in some cases.
Funds will be withdrawn from this account
It's essential to ensure this information is accurate, as the funds will be withdrawn from this account. This information can only be edited before the first run of payroll through Humi.
If you have already completed your first payroll run and need to update this information, please reach out to Humi Support for assistance.
Need to Update Your Banking Information?
- In Company Payroll Information section, click Edit to change your banking details.
- Enter your new information.
- Click Save.
⚠️ Important Step: Sign the PAD Agreement. After updating your information, you must re-sign the Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) agreement. This keeps your account compliant and active. Once you finish, Humi will automatically save a timed record of your update.
