Integrating Humi and Xero makes syncing pay-run information to your accounting books more seamless, saving you time, increasing the accuracy of information transferred, and joining together two complementary systems.

I’ve added a new General Ledger Account in Xero. How do I make that show up in Humi?

If you make a change to your General Ledger in Xero, then you will need to disconnect and reconnect your Humi account. Don’t worry, we will save the Xero accounts you’ve already mapped!

To Disconnect To Reconnect
  1. Log in to your Humi Admin Account
  2. In Settings, head to the Integrations tab
  3. Find the Xero Integration and click on the Three Dots in the top-right corner
  4. Select Disconnect from the dropdown menu
  5. In the pop-up, confirm that you’d like to disconnect Xero from Humi by clicking the Disconnect button
When and how does data sync occur?

There are two instances when Data Sync between Humi and Xero occurs:

  1. When setting up the integration, Humi pulls in the General Ledger accounts that are in the connected Xero account
  2. Every time you run payroll, when you click the Complete and Pay button, Humi sends the Bill data to Xero

What doesn’t the Xero integration do?

Currently, the Xero Integration doesn’t:

  • Post Journal Entries directly. Instead, our integration allows you to use Bills to recognize your payroll expenses.
  • Break down expenses by department.
  • Allow the Bill to be re-sent to Xero after clicking the Complete and Pay button in Humi Payroll.
  • Recognize an expense for Employer Health Tax or Workers’ Compensation in the Bill.
  • Recognize an expense related to Vacation Pay accrued but not yet paid out to the employee.
How do I disconnect from Xero?

Thanks to our seamless integration, you can disconnect Humi and Xero from either app.

To disable the Xero Integration in Humi, follow the steps below:

  1. In Settings, head to the Integrations tab
  2. Find the Xero Integration and click on the Three Dots in the top-right corner
  3. Select Disconnect from the dropdown menu
  4. In the pop-up, confirm that you’d like to disconnect Xero from Humi by clicking the Disconnect button
  5. The Xero integration will be removed from Humi immediately and information will no longer be passed between the two platforms
