How to Bulk Update Employee Data via CSV

Wouldn't it be lovely if you could wave a magic wand and instantly update your employee's information? While we aren't quite at fairy godmother level yet, we do have the next best thing!

If you need to make a bulk update to your employee data, the Employee Importer can be used to make the process easy and efficient! 

How to Bulk Update Employee Data

Follow the steps below to learn how to make quick changes to your employee data:

1. In Company, click the Import Employees button

2. You'll find a page where you can Import Employee Data

3. You'll want to start by exporting the existing employee data from Humi by clicking the Export Employee Data button. This will allow you to download a CSV file you can use to make any necessary changes.

4. Once you have downloaded the file, you can make changes directly to the spreadsheet

   Important Note

   You don't want to change any of the column titles. If you change them, the file will NOT upload correctly. To learn how to prepare your employee data, click here.

5. When you're finished making your changes, save the document as a CSV file

6. Head back to Company and click on the Import Employees button to access the Employee Importer

7. To upload your file, you can drag and drop it into the Importer or select it from your computer using the Browse Files button
8. Hit Next and follow the prompts to complete the upload
   

   Data Should Automatically Match

   Since you downloaded the data from Humi first, most or all of it should automatically match its corresponding field in Humi. If you run into trouble, refer to the import steps in this article for help.

And that's it! You can use this process to change your employee data at any time. Easy as pie.
