If you aren't sure how much vacation pay you have earned or used, you can find these details on your pay stub. Look for the Vacation Pay section near the bottom of your document.
Understanding Vacation Pay Balances
Prior Balance – This is your vacation pay balance from your last pay stub, including any adjustments made since then.
Spent – This is the total amount of vacation pay you used during the current pay period.
Accrued – This is the amount of vacation pay you earned during this pay period.
Balance – This is your total remaining balance at the end of the pay period. It is calculated by taking your Prior Balance, subtracting what you Spent, and adding what you Accrued.
