Navigating a new HR system can be challenging for employees, and it’s normal to encounter some common issues early on.

Click below for some helpful resources we've gathered to help you address these quickly and empower employees to find solutions independently.

What to Do If an Employee Is Still in Onboarding Status

If an employee is still in Onboarding status, they may need to create and activate their account. You can share this post with them to walk them through activating their Humi account.  

If you want to check if an employee has completed onboarding, head to the People module. Use the search bar to find the employee, and review the status column to see if they’re marked as Onboarding or Active.

How to Resend the Humi invite

If an employee doesn't have a username and password, they likely haven't accepted the activation link. To help them, you can quickly resend their invitation:

  1. In the People, search for the employee and click their name to access their profile.
  2. Click the More tab and select Account from the dropdown.
  3. In Account Settings, copy the activation link and send it directly to the employee.

Alternatively, click the three dots in the top right corner and select Resend Invite to email the activation code to the employee.

Helping Your Employee Log In To Humi

How to Add or Update An Employee's Email 

If an employee's email address in Humi is incorrect or no longer in use, you can update it for them. Follow the steps outlined here.

However, we understand that admins have a lot on their plates, so if you want to empower your employees to do this themselves, this article will show them how. 

How to Reset their Password

If an employee needs to reset their password, direct them to this link: Reset Password 

Note

The password must be at least 10 characters long, or they won't be able to save their new password. 

What to Do if an Employee is Locked Out of Their Account

Employees will be locked out of their account after 10 unsuccessful login attempts with an incorrect email or password. When this happens, the admin will need to unlock their account.

How to Unlock An Employee's Account

  1. In People, use the search box to find the employee and click on their name to open their profile.
  2. Click the More tab and select Account from the dropdown.
  3. In the Account Settings section, click Unlock Account.
