How to Send an Offer Letter in Humi

You've found the perfect candidate for the job, and it's time to make it official by sending them an offer letter!

This article will show you where you can send an Offer Letter and how to fill in the final details before sending it off to your new hire!

How to Send an Offer Letter

There are four places in Humi where you can send an offer letter. Select the one you’d like to use below to learn how.

In People The Offers tab Applicant Profile In Documents

How to send an Offer Letter from the People Module:

  1. Head to People
  2. Click the + Employee button in the top right corner
  3. Click the Send Offer button
  4. Follow the remaining steps to send the offer letter to your candidate

 

How to Fill In the Offer Letter Details

When you go to send an offer letter to a candidate, Humi will walk you through adding in all the relevant information for their new position at your company. There are four steps to complete:

Step One - Candidate Information

In the first step, you’ll be prompted to fill out the candidate's details:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email (They’ll use this to log in to Humi)
  • Who they’ll be reporting to at your company (Optional)

 

Step Two - Offer Letter Template & Cosigners

  1. Select an Offer Letter Template
    You can click the Preview Template button if you'd like to view the template before sending it.

    Templates need to be created ahead of time. If you haven’t made one yet, click here to learn how.

  2. Select your Cosigners, if applicable.

    1. You can also choose the signing order of the cosigners by checking off Assign signing order.

    2. Then, you can move the names into the order you’d like them to appear on the document using the arrows on the left-hand side.

    3. Your offer letter will then be sent to each cosigner in the order they are assigned. So if you have three cosigners, the third will receive the offer after both the first and second have signed off on it.

    Cosigners go first!

    If you’ve added cosigners to your offer letter, they’ll need to sign the offer before it will be sent to your candidate. Once all the cosigners have signed, the offer will be emailed to your candidate for the final signature!

 

Step Three - Offer Letter Details

  1. Select an expiration date for the offer. (Optional)
    Be sure to choose this date carefully. Once it passes, the offer will no longer be valid, and the candidate won’t be able to accept it. If you don’t set an expiration date, the offer will remain active until it is accepted or deleted.
  2. Add Any Additional Information
    Add the information for the fields you included in the offer letter template. The information you input here will be automatically filled in on the offer letter when you send it to the candidate, so make sure you double-check for accuracy.
    Examples may include:
    • The Candidate's New Position Title
    • Salary / Compensation
    • Start Date

 

Step Four - Review Offer

Finally, review the details of the Offer Letter. When you’re ready, click Send Offer, and it will be emailed to your candidate and any applicable cosigners.

Everyone needs to sign!
