My Profile

The Profile section of your Humi account allows you to view/edit all your employee information on Humi and manage the settings on your Humi account.

Personal Information

The Personal tab of the profile section contains default fields for commonly used employee data such as emergency contacts and personal information and can be expanded by your Humi admins to include custom fields based on your organizations needs.

All the fields in the personal information section can be edited by selecting the edit button at the top right their respected section. A few key input fields require special consideration before editing:

Preferred Name / Legal Name

Your preferred name is what will be used as a display across the Humi platform as well as in emails that are sent through Humi. Your legal name will be used when you have to sign documents within Humi, as well as used for payroll purposes.

It's important to note that when using any of the search tools within Humi (ex/ directory, time off requests, reviews, etc) the employee's preferred name will be used for searching.

SIN + Address

These fields are required for employees on Humi Payroll. The address is the employee's personal address which will be displayed in documents such as ROE, or the T4 tax form that is issued at year end. It's important to get this right as address can affect taxation!

Job & Pay

The Job & Pay section is used to provide employees visibility to their data within Humi. The details in this page are predominantly managed by admins. If you notice any discrepancy in the information found in this section, please contact your Humi admin.

Bank Account Information

As an employee, you can edit the details of the bank account information which will delineate the account you will receive your direct deposit to.

It is highly recommended that you refer to a cheque or the account details in your personal bank account to obtain information to be entered into Humi Payroll's bank account settings. The three fields required are:

  • Bank Institution Number - 3 digits
  • Bank Transit (Branch) Number - 5 digits
  • Bank Account Number - 7-12 digits

Note that changes to the bank account information in Humi Payroll will only affect future payments and will not affect payments from processed payrolls that are paid or already in transit.

If you believe your payroll payment is being processed based on incorrect bank information, please reach out to support@humi.ca immediately.

My Account

The account tab allows users to manage the settings and details of their Humi accounts. There are three key sections that can be configured:

Account language: toggle between English and French display for your personal view of Humi (does not affect the default language of your Company's settings)

Password: Manage the password you use to enter Humi. Certain requirements exist for the complexity of your password which you can view during the edit password stage.

Emails: The emails associated with your Humi account, see the section below for details.

Account Emails

Emails associated with your account are used to manage how you can login to your account and where your Humi notifications are sent.

An email address can have one of 3 Statuses:

Primary: This address receives all the Humi notifications emails for your account.

Unverified: This address is pending email verification. During this time it is not usable to log into your account.

Verified: This address is verified but not set as the primary, this means it can be used to login but does not receive notification emails.

In order to change your primary email, you must first verify the new email. Before verification, the options available in the dropdown for an email are "Resend Verification" and "Delete". Once the status changes you will have access to "Make Primary".
