Updating Your Company Information

Here is where you can edit your company information such as the phone number, website, industry, logo, and the primary admin notification email address.

Changing the notification email does not change the admin login credentials, if you need to update your login email you can do so by going to your Profile > Account > Add Email.

Adding Your Company Payroll Information

If you are using Humi for payroll, this is where you will fill the CRA business number, program code, reference number, and remitter type. This information will be used to configure your payroll account. To find these details, scroll down on the "Overview" page within the company module.

Adding Your Company Bank Account Information

If you are using Humi for payroll, this is where you will fill in your company bank account information. It is important to ensure this information is accurate as the funds will be withdrawn from this account. To find these details, scroll down on the "Overview" page within the company module.

Add & Edit Office Locations

In order to add or edit office locations, you need to navigate to the "Offices" tab within the company module.

As an admin you will be able to add multiple office locations or update your primary office location. By clicking the office location you will be able to edit the address and view all employees that are assigned to this work location.

If you need to update or assign an employee's office location, you can do so by going to People > Employee > Job & Pay > Employment Information.

Please note that in order to add an employee to payroll they will need to be assigned to the primary office location, as the primary address will be used to determine the jurisdiction where the payroll is taxed in.

Company Positions Overview

The company positions overview will allow you to see all position titles, employee count for each position, and the date it was created. Please note that the count only includes active employees therefore, if the employee's status is 'onboarding' they will not be included in the count.

For a list of all employees and their assigned position, you can generate a data export by going to Reporting > Data Export.

Editing and Adding New Positions

First, make sure you are logged into Humi as an Admin. Now look over at the left navigation bar and click on "Company" then, "Positions".

You will now be on the positions page. You can add a position by clicking on the blue + button in the bottom right corner.

A page to add a position will come up. Give the position you are creating a name, a colour of your choice, and a brief description. Once you are done, hit the save button at the bottom right to add your new position.

You will now see your newly made position. You can also edit or delete your position on this page.

Add or Change Employee’s Position

First, make sure you are logged into Humi as an Admin. Now look over at the left navigation bar and click on "People". Now that you are in "People", search for the employee that you want and click on their name.

Click on the second tab, which is "Job & Pay".

Now click on "Edit" in the top right of the "Employment Information" section.

Now find "Position", click on the drop down arrow, and click on the appropriate position.

Note: You can only find positions that have already been created.

Once you have selected the desired position, hit the blue "Save" button.

What Are Calendar Feeds?

Calendar feeds allow you to add and subscribe to your employee's work anniversaries, birthdays, and time off to your Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar. For a step-by-step on how to create these calendars, click on the corresponding header under 'How The Calendar Works'.

Please note this information will still be shown on the 'Upcoming Event's' on the homepage within Humi and also on the time off calendar.

Anniversaries Feed

Subscribing to this calendar will show all employee's work anniversaries.

Birthdays Feed

Subscribing to this calendar will show all employee's birthdays.

Employee - Time Off Feed

Subscribing to this calendar will show all approved time off requests. This will not include the details and reason for the request.

Manager - Time Off Feed

In order for managers to view their reports' approved time off, they will need to have a manager role. You can assign managers by going to Settings > Roles & Permissions. The feed will display the leave type and the days that the employees are away, this will not include the details and reason for the request.

Admin - Time Off Feed

Subscribing to this feed will display all time off requests from all employees that include the details about the leave type and reasons given.

Creating The Calendars

Google Calendar

  1. From Google Calendar, click the "+" button above My calendars.
  2. Select From URL in the menu.
  3. Paste the above URL and click Add calendar.

Apple Calendar in MacOS

  1. Open Apple Calendar and select New Calendar Subscription from the File menu.
  2. Paste the above URL and click Subscribe.
  3. In the next info dialog box, in the Auto-refresh dropdown menu, select 'Every hour'.

Outlook in Windows:

  1. Go to outlook.com calendar and log into your account.
  2. Click Import at the top of the window.
  3. Choose Subscribe from the left sidebar.
  4. Paste the URL above into the Calendar URL box and enter a name for your calendar in the Calendar Name box.
  5. Click Subscribe.
