When you start organizing your documents, you might find that you need to delete or rename a folder. We've made it easy and intuitive to make these changes, and this article will explain how to:

Delete a folder
You can delete a folder in two ways, from the table view or the sidebar.
Warning
When you delete a folder, all of the documents contained within it will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Before deleting anything from "Documents," we recommend double-checking that you no longer require it.
Delete a folder from the sidebar
Before deleting the folder, move any documents you still need to another folder, then follow these steps:
- On the sidebar, hover over the folder you want to delete.
- Three dots will appear, click on them and then select "Delete" from the dropdown.
- In the pop-up, click the "I understand this cannot be undone" box, then click the "Permanently Delete" button and your folder will be deleted.
Delete a folder from the table view
- Find the folder you want to delete from the table view and click the three dots.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown.
- Click the "I understand this cannot be undone" box in the pop-up, then click the "Permanently Delete" button. Humi will delete your folder and all the contents within it.
Rename a folder
You can rename a folder in two ways, from the sidebar or the table.
Rename a folder from the sidebar
- On the sidebar, hover over the folder you want to rename.
- Three dots will appear, click on them and then select "Rename" from the dropdown.
- Enter the new folder name in the pop-up and click the "Rename" button. Humi will update the folder to reflect the new name.
Rename a folder from the table view
- Find the folder you want to rename from the table view and click the three dots.
- Select "Rename" from the dropdown.
- Enter the new folder name in the pop-up, then click the "Rename" button. Humi will immediately update the folder to reflect the new name.
