We've also included the 2025 Statutory Holidays Calendar, which shows all stat holidays across Canada and a helpful list of Holidays by Province for you to refer to.
Since banks are closed on statutory holidays, typically, Humi will adjust your payroll "run-by" date to align with this change. Knowing your payroll "run-by" date ensures you won't miss your payroll deadline.
Your Run By Date Could Change
If your payday falls on a holiday, both the payday and the payroll "run-by" deadline may be shifted up by one business day.
Your payroll "run-by" date is the deadline for processing payroll to ensure employees are paid on time based on your company's pay schedule. The cut-off is always 4:30 PM EST on that date.
How to Find Your Payroll "Run By" Date
You can locate your payroll run-by date in two spots within the Payroll module.
- In Payroll, you'll see the run-by date under the "Run by" column.
- When you click into the payroll, just below the payroll date, you'll find the payroll run-by date again.
Always Refer to the Run By Date
