Payroll Summary View Enhancements

We are pleased to tell you that we have significantly enhanced the summary view of our payroll export. After selecting your payroll export dates, the payroll summary preview screen now offers additional viewing and sorting options. The summary screen contains 5 viewing tabs and each tab will allow you to sort the data rows by any of the column headings.

Here are the new views (tabs) available in the payroll summary along with a description of each. 

  • Store Totals
  • Employee Totals
  • Employee Shifts
  • Warnings
  • Stat Holiday (if a statutory holiday is present within your selected payroll export dates)

Store Totals

The store totals tab is a basic summary of the total hours, cost and shift counts for the selected payroll export dates. The columns detail the data into regular, overtime, premium stat and stat holidays.

Employee Totals

The employee totals tab will summarize the payroll data for each employee for the selected payroll export dates. If the employee worked in more than one department, an additional row will be added for each additional department worked. The data on this tab can be sorted into ascending or descending order of any of the column headings listed below.

  • Payroll ID (Employee payroll ID)
  • Name
  • Department (an additional row will be added for each additional department worked)
  • Wage (Department wage)
  • Reg Hrs (Regular hours worked)
  • Reg Cost (Cost of regular hours worked)
  • OT Hrs (Overtime hours worked)
  • OT Cost (Cost of overtime worked)
  • Prem Hrs (Premium hours worked)
  • Prem Cost (Cost of premium hours worked)
  • Cost (Total cost for the pay period)

Employee Shifts

The employee shifts tab will summarize the payroll data for each shift worked for the selected payroll export dates. The data on this tab can be sorted into ascending or descending order of any of the column headings listed below.

  • Payroll ID (Employee Payroll ID)
  • Name
  • Dept ID (Department payroll ID)
  • Wage (Department wage)
  • Start (Shift start time)
  • End (Shift end time)
  • Unpaid breaks (Number of hours of unpaid breaks if applicable)
  • Worked hours (Total number of hours worked for the shift)
  • OT Hrs (Overtime hours incurred for the shift)
  • Prem Hrs (Premium hours incurred for the shift)
  • Shift cost (Total cost of the shift)
  • Reg cost (Total cost of regular hours)
  • OT cost (Total cost of overtime hours)
  • Prem cost (Total cost of premium hours)

Stat Holiday

The stat holiday tab will summarize the statutory holiday pay calculations if applicable for the selected payroll export dates. This tab will only appear if your selected payroll export dates include a statutory holiday that is applicable to your region. The data on this tab can be sorted into ascending or descending order of any of the column headings listed below.

  • Payroll ID (Employee Payroll ID)
  • Name 
  • Stat Holiday (Name of the statutory holiday)
  • Calculated Hours (Calculation of stat hours based on the qualification of the employee)
  • Calculated Pay (Calculation of stat pay based on the qualification of the employee)
  • Qualify (A description of the employees statutory holiday pay qualification status)

Warnings

This tab will display alerts of missing employee or department payroll ID’s. We always recommend that you review this tab before finalizing your payroll export. For example, a missing employee payroll ID will result in that employees’ hours being excluded from the payroll export.
