New Time Clock settings

We have expanded the punch round and punch buffer settings allowing you to use different values for the punch in and punch out times. Previously, these settings were applied to both the punch in and punch out times.

As a reminder, here are the 3 settings available for Time Clock in Ameego Manager.

Punch Buffer: This is the number of minutes from the start or end time of a scheduled shift that an employee can clock in or out without a manager's override. If the employee attempts to clock in or out outside of the buffer time, a manager must override the time clock punch. Setting the punch buffer to “0” will disable the punch buffer for either punch in or punch out time.

Punch Rounding: This setting will round the start or end times of the punch to the nearest value that you set here. You can set separate values (including “no rounding”) to punch in and punch out times. Please note that any time adjustments made by managers will not be rounded, giving you full control of the final punch time.

Enable Break Approval: If checked, an employee must get a manager to approve their ‘go on a break’ function on the time clock.

Follow the steps below to enable separate punch buffer and punch round settings for the end times.

  1. In Ameego Manager, click on ‘Dashboard’, then ‘Settings’.
  2. Click ‘Edit Settings’.
  3. Navigate to the Time Clock settings.
  4. To enable separate settings for end times, check the box labeled ‘Use Separate End …’ for the punch buffer or punch rounding sections. If this is not checked, the initial value will apply to both punch in and punch out time.
  5. Use the drop down menu to select a setting for the end time.
  6. Review your initial buffer or rounding setting which is now the setting for the start time. Adjust if required.
  7. Click ‘Save Changes’.
